Average smartphone prices in Germany have increased, amounting to over 700 in 2023. One of the most popular brands of smartphone, Apple has tried to make iPhones for different budgets. The cheapest new iPhone is still over 400 dollars. The other most popular brand in Germany is Samsung as shown in consumer surveys.

Forecasts for the number of smartphone users in Germany reflect previous statistics on user numbers, with predictions of over 71 million users by 2029. Emailing along with sending texts messages and chatting were the most popular activities among German smartphone users.
